# AI Engineer

## About Pelles

Pelles transforms trade contractors' knowledge, documents, and workflows into AI-powered systems. AI Engineers build the features customers actually touch: the LLM and computer-vision pipelines that read drawings, specs, and submittals, and the product surfaces that put those answers in front of an estimator or a project manager.

## Key Responsibilities

- Build ML applications with LLMs and computer vision, from a messy drawing set to an answer a customer can check
- Design the web application features and AI workflows that ship them, end to end
- Work with the co-founders on requirements, turning construction problems into software
- Take models from prototype to production, and keep up with what the field ships next

## Requirements

- 3+ years of software development, including hands-on ML work
- Strong Python, and a working knowledge of web application design patterns
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Comfort with messy, document-heavy data

## Bonus

- ML deployment experience, with frameworks such as PyTorch
- NLP or computer-vision depth
- NoSQL, vector, or graph databases (MongoDB, Neo4j)
- REST API design, and AWS or Azure
- TypeScript/React frontend work
